Tal como prometido hoje trago-vos a receita do carpaccio de beterraba que fiz ontem para acompanhar as pataniscas. Não sou muito apreciadora de beterraba, especialmente crua, mas como traz muitos benefícios para a nossa saúde tento comer algumas vezes em sumos, hambúrguers, saladas e neste delicioso carpaccio.

As promised today I bring you the beetroot carpaccio recipe that I’ve made yesterday as a side dish for my pataniscas. I really do not appreciate beets, especially if they’re raw. However beets bring lots of benefits for our health and because of that I try to eat them sometimes on juices, burguers, salads and in this delicious carpaccio.
Carpaccio de Beterraba / Beetroot Carpaccio (Vegan, Sem Gluten Free)
INGREDIENTES:
– 2 beterrabas médias / 2 medium size beets
– raspa e sumo de meio limão e laranja / zest and juice of half lemon and orange
– 1 c. sopa de azeite / 1 tbsp olive oil
– sal e pimenta / salt and pepper
– salsa ou manjericão / parsley or basil
- Para fazer o carpaccio basta cortar as beterrabas em fatias bem finas e dispor num prato (ver imagem), temperar com o azeite, o sumo de limão e de laranja, sal e pimenta. Juntamos as raspas dos citrinos e a salsa ou manjericão picados. Levamos ao frigorífico e deixamos descansar pelo menos 30 minutos antes de servir. / To make this carpaccio you just have to cut the beets in very thin slices and place them in a plate (see image), season with olive oil, orange and lemon juice, salt and pepper. Add the zest and the parsley or basil chopped. Leave it to rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Para além do limão e da laranja usei também raspa de clementina mas podem experimentar a usar raspa e sumo de lima que fica delicioso! Esta receita é também uma excelente ideia como uma entrada para surpreenderem os vossos convidados.
Beside the lemon and orange I’ve used also clementine zest but you can try to use zest and juice of a lime and it will be delicious! This recipe is also an excellent idea as an entrée to surprise your guests.
